This studio series with Ella Davis, shot in Canary Wharf, London, explores movement and monochrome across three distinct looks. From a kinetic, dance-inspired pose in head-to-toe olive chiffon and tailoring, to a relaxed recline in ice-blue satin against a matching mint set, to a grounded, commanding crouch in an oversized crimson suit, each frame is built around a single saturated palette that unifies garment, backdrop, and mood. I handled every element of the shoot; photography, styling, retouching, and pose direction; working with Ella to find shapes that balance editorial polish with a sense of energy and attitude.

Lydia Sailer; Editorial, London

The organising idea was one colour per look, worked through different fabrics until the tone does the styling for you. Rust blazer over brown satin over camel pleats, pitched against an ochre wall and a tan saloon so the whole frame collapses into a single warm register and the only real contrast left is Lydia's face and hair. The belted knit and skirt take the same trick indoors; matched rust against cream panelling, gold at the ear and wrist doing the punctuation, the patterned bag carried rather than worn so it reads as an object with weight. Olive on seamless is the plainest frame and the most useful one: rib texture, shoulder line, waistband, nothing to distract. The navy look closes it out full-length against terracotta, the one place I let a colour fight the backdrop, because a floor-length coat needs somewhere to fall and something to fall against. Lydia holds a still, unbothered posture across all four, which is what makes tonal dressing work; with the colour noise stripped out, everything rides on stance and expression. This one's a strong studio fashion shot; the bold navy-on-terracotta color block does most of the heavy lifting, giving it graphic, editorial punch rather than the softer lifestyle feel of the garden shoot. Caelyn's wide-legged stance and the hand-in-hair pose emphasize the exaggerated volume of the belted jumpsuit's trousers, turning a fairly simple silhouette into something architectural and confident. The flat, saturated backdrop keeps all the attention on line and color, making this read as a clean, punchy studio fashion image built to show off cut and proportion rather than mood or setting.
There’s a quiet confidence running through this series; the kind that comes from knowing exactly when to let a moment breathe. Working with Allegra, an Italian model whose presence shifts effortlessly from soft introspection to playful command, these images move between stillness and motion without ever losing their composure. Whether it’s the lilac organza pooling like water across the studio floor, the sharp graphic energy of a navy mini caught mid-step, or a figure suspended in impossible, sculptural balance, each frame is built on the same instinct: an eye that finds elegance in restraint and drama in the smallest gesture. The lighting is unhurried, the styling intentional, and the result is portraiture with real presence; every shot composed with the calm precision of a photographer who knows that the strongest images come from patience as much as vision.

The shot below balances high fashion polish with the elegance of an evening editorial; the deep cobalt satin gown, one-shoulder neckline, and thigh-high slit give the silhouette real drama, while the neutral gray backdrop keeps the focus entirely on line and fabric movement. Caelyn's over-the-shoulder glance adds a moment of tension to an otherwise still pose, and the black top-handle bag grounds the look with a touch of understated luxury. It's the kind of image that works equally well as a standalone fashion piece or as part of an accessories story.

Craig Mulgrew in Canary Wharf

Shot on location in Canary Wharf, London, this series with model Craig Mulgrew leans into the neutral, tailored aesthetic of the district; soft neutrals, structured silhouettes, and the kind of quiet confidence that suits both a boardroom and an editorial spread.
I handled every stage of the shoot: photography, posing direction, and full retouching. The goal was a cohesive story built around texture and tone; oatmeal tailoring, striped knitwear, and travel-ready layers; with poses that felt controlled but never stiff.
Craig brought an easy presence in front of the camera, which made it possible to move between sharper, editorial stances and looser, more candid moments without losing consistency across the set.
